Lane Departure Warning

AWS detects road markings, whatever the weather or visibility, and warns the driver before unintentionally crossing a lane marking or deviating from the lane. This warning system can prevent a run-off-road crash, rollover, etc. AWS can also provide Drowsy Driver alerts.

Forward Collision Warnings

AWS helps the driver keep sufficient headway. Many drivers overestimate the headway to the vehicle in front, not realizing that as their speed increases, the effective headway decreases, leaving them insufficient time to react. AWS detects situations where the vehicle would hit another vehicle, if no changes were made to the vehicle speed or direction, and warns the driver using a sound and visual display. If the time predicted to the collision is smaller than typical human reaction time, it activates emergency braking.

Headway Monitoring and Warning

Insufficient distance keeping is a major source of rear-end accidents. AWS alerts the driver of an imminent rear-end collision with the vehicle ahead. Warns the driver up to 2.7 seconds prior to anticipated collision, allowing more time to react.
